| Robert Nesta Marley was born on February 6th, 1945 in a small town in Jamaica called Nine Miles. Bob Marley had very little money, surviving off goats and chicken for sources of food and milk, Bob Marley grew up to be the Legend artist of is time. His dad, Norval, the Cpt. of a major naval ship, could only do so much for him and his family. His wife Cedella, was a stay at home mom and took care of the house. From cleaning it, to fixing it, to raising the animals and bringing in the food. Starting at only 13 years old with his friends Bunny Livingston and "Tosh", singing doo wop beats on the corner of streets for money, and trying to make a start. Bob went to Kingston with his dad in 1961, where he ended up living with his mother. There, at the age of sixteen, Bob released his first song, Judge Not.In 1966 Bob married Rita Anderson, his long-term Rastafarian girlfriend. The very next day Bob went back to the United States to gain money to finance his next record. Later, they had a child, and named it Cedella, after Bob's Mother.Later, Bob formed a group of his friends to start his own band. The ones called "Bunny Wailer" and "Peter Toshh". There they made their album record in 1972 called Catch A Fire,and they were known as The Wailers. From there they broke of and did their own things. Of course, Bob Marley stuck with his producer, and created wonderful music that everybody enjoyed. However, Bob had a white producer, and they thought conflict would arise if everybody knew Bob Marleys producer was white. They wouldve thought that he was coming up with all the ideas for songs, and Bob just sang them. So they agreed to never take a picture together to keep it safe. Until one day in 1980, when Bob Marley was daignosed with cancer, and given only a short time to live, he and his producer called in a photographer and had one picture taken of them together, and to this day remains the only picture of them together. Bob Marley passed away on May 11, 1981...at the young age of 36.
