About Me

NOTICE: All songs copyrighted and co-written by Jaime Fox EXCEPT "All the Same to You" which was written by Victoria Banks(FAME Publishing) and is used with permission. Any questions regarding the validity of posted material may be handled by sending a message to this account.

Jaime Fox is conquering life one challenge at a time, and taking her audience along for the ride. Born and raised in Maryland, Jaime Fox moved to Nashville, TN in 1999 in pursuit of a country sound all her own. She combines the sounds of Nashville with adult comtemporary rock, making her a unique artist in the country market. Her vast experience in front of live audiences is evident by her commanding stage presence. This, combined with her amazing energy and ability to convey emotion, captures the attention of her audience and leaves them reeling for more. "Being in front of a crowd is my favorite place to be. I love to watch people's faces as they are touched by words and music. It is the most rewarding part of being a performer," says Fox. Jaime had always been drawn to the Nashville sound because of the down-home instrumentation and songs that tell stories about real life experience. Although Fox admittedly blurs the line between pop rock and country, she credits Nashville for the majority of her inspiration.
"For the first few years in Nashville, my life was about trying to stay afloat financially, and trying to fit in. I won't lie -- I toyed with the idea of giving up, but my passion to perform was unwaivering." Fox credits the life experience that she gained in the last six years for giving her most of her song-writing material. "I definitely have a lot to say," Fox explains. "Writing is my outlet."
In 2005, Fox recommitted to her dream, and decided to record her first album on her own. She was introduced to an up and coming producer named Eddie Gore of Insomnia Studios. Gore, who engineers for the renowned musical genius, Steve Cropper, was eager to help Fox turn her vision into musical magic. Together, Gore and Fox created a unique style that the artist boasts is "all her own." She says,"Eddie didn't look at me like I was crazy when I said I wanted a sound with the rock edge of Melissa Etheridge and the range and emotion of Martina McBride."
Fox co-wrote four songs on her album slated for a June 2006 release, including the title track, "Crossing Over." In preparation for the album, she had the awesome opportunity to write with some of Nashville's rising stars like song-writer, Bruce Wallace, and with hidden talents like the amazingly gifted singer-songwriter, Mary Ann Redmond, of Washington, DC. She also found bold material from some of Nashville's top writers, including Keith Follese, Steve Diamond, Bekka Bramlett, Liz Rose, Victoria Banks and others. "It's hard to believe that jewels like 'I Don't Believe in Ghosts' (Follese/Diamond) were just sitting in the catalogs at these publishing companies." Fox was able to incorporate her own style into these songs while also giving them a powerful interpretation. "It is such a wonderful feeling to be able to breathe life into someone else's idea. I always try to take the song somewhere it hasn't been yet by putting my stamp on it," she says.
Still young and driven, this singer is charging onto the music scene with the determination and professionalism of a seasoned veteran. Jaime Fox is one to watch, so come along for the ride!
