As he delivers musical punches with incomparable style and strength like Ali in the ring, music entrepreneur KAYO is ripe and ready to generate heat on the charts. Spearheading (Ghetto Life), a musical movement about to sweep the nation, the self-taught rapper/producer who started off deejaying presents ... "Million Dollar Dreams" a 16 track pop hip-hop romp that spills out an enticing blend of syncopated beats and rhymes. Armed with talent and style to burn, KAYO also created Rok Earth Entertainment, a recording label which currently host a roster of young artists. Putting down his production talents, which incidentally netted him a spot amongst top Notch producers the likes of DJ Ouik and Saccs on Geffen's hip-hop artist Mausburg,(R.I.P). KAYO imprints his distinctive signature on each track he produces. .. I like to come up with concepts of songs, the titles and then the beats that will fit the songs I'm doing; so I basically tailor my production around the topics of the songs. That way everything sounds like it goes hand in hand... Explains the self-contained producer. In regards to his way of creating music for himself or the recording artist he selects to work with, the man with a master plan declares: I'm more into being original, so if I do sample, I replay it over, but in general, I'm interested in setting up a new trend and have people follow. So, our stuff is original, no samples. In the studio, we have drum machines, keyboards, guitars, live drums on some songs; whatever it takes to make the song hot, that's what were gonna do...Not allowing any musical boundaries to limit his creativity, KAYO is clearly on a mission to hit the music biz from all angles. As he leans on his 24 track mixing board the tall young music scientist relates his plan to venture into other musical genres: I want to produce it all from Hip-Hop, R&B to Rock N Roll and even Country. I just love good music. Serving up rich and catchy melodies KAYO delivers interesting layered arrangements that make up for a sound that is dense yet retains a groovy, laid-back, head-bopping feel. My music is the Sound Of The Streetz... Explains the Dallas, Texas native. He continues: Most of my music has a street type feel to it, bangin beats and life experiences. I just want to make music for whoever wants to hear it, that's the market I want to hit. I think a lot of people get stuck into the mode of trying to keep it real but to me, keeping it real is just being yourself and doing what makes you feel good... KAYO, who grew up on the streets of Compton, California, flips his reality rap lyrics with a spellbinding bi-coastal flow: The album is very versatile... We have songs like...Get Bac... Butta... Million Dollar Dreams... Same Shit Different Day... to Gangsta Dic.. lol. We got features from: JUVENILE, BUN B, BONE CRUSHER, KING T, MAC BRE-Z, 112 and a host of others. In pursuit of paving new roads within the music industry, KAYO founded Ghetto Life. Says KAYO: Ghetto Life is a coalition, a movement of people who make music together; that includes anybody from artists, musicians, producers, managers and other behind-the-scene talents. We..re already established in California and Texas, but my goal is to get others involved from Atlanta to Miami to the East Coast. We plan to have different members from every state, become a nationwide clique and hopefully overseas too... KAYO serves up a concoction of rap-along songs filled with original beats that never let up for the entire duration of the album. With his new label Rok Earth Entertainment, KAYO is setting a course that promises adventurous quality music full of melodic hooks, soulful influences and intricate instrumental arrangements.
