| After Los Sonic Rocketts project and with some changes within the band, Johannes Winter, Funky Kino and Urban von Ripper are back again with this new garage-r'n'b lysergic project. The band is now a steady steamin' quartet with Richard McArrows incorporation. Influences are still the same: Screaming Lord Sutch, Arthur Browns horror-rock, voodoo and New Orleans swamp atmospheres à la Screamin Jay Hawkins-, or some 60s garage classic covers including also some instrumentals. Without losing their funny side, now the band is more into their own compositions, making some swamp, misterious, obscure songs......references to black magic, demons, cementeries and other scary places are the main inspiration for it. ******************************** Johannes Winter, Funky Kino y Urban Von Ripper vuelven a la carga con esta nueva descarga lisérgica de garage y rhythmnblues. Tras la experiencia de Los Sonic Rocketts y diversos cambios en la formación, la banda queda sólidamente conformada en cuarteto con la inclusión de Richard McArrow a la guitarra. Los referentes siguen siendo los mismos: el Horror-rock de Screaming Lord Sutch , Arthur Brown ... las referencias al voodoo y los pantanos de Nueva Orleáns de Screamin Jay Hawkins .... o los clásicos del garage de los 60, sin olvidarse de incluir unas cuantas instrumentales en su repertorio. Aunque no dejan atrás su lado más festivo, ahora el grupo se vuelca más en su labor compositiva facturando pantanosas canciones resbaladizas como piel de caimán, con las consabidas referencias a la magia negra, brujas, demonios, cementerios, ciénagas y demás lugares desasosegantes Músicos curtidos en distintas bandas de blues y funky (Alias Blues Gang, The BlindLemons, Jungle Strut Band) y de rocknroll (Harla Horror, Black Cat Bones, Brassas) los madrileño-pucelanos lo mismo abordan el repertorio de unos Remains, Music Machine, The Young Rascals o The Sonics, que se atreven con Booker T. & The MGs, los grandes del surf instrumental o deshacen a su antojo el tema principal de Corrupción en Miami. |
