Till then Paul, Gregor and Carlos are still in the Band - Hank joined the Band in 1996 - In 1996 shows with The Queers, Bollock Brothers, Donots and others ... - Release of different Tapes and Compilation Tracks everywhere ... (good) Reviews worldwide ... - Supporting Marky Ramone & The Intruders, Travoltas and nearly every week on the road in 1997 ... In December 1997 the Sentiments recorded a whole 17-Track-Album we never released ... - Shows with the Misfits in 1998 or Agnostic Front, Pansy Division, Groovie Ghoulies, Servotron and all the german Garage Pop-Punkrock Bands (remember: Solingen, huh?), Interview for the FC Zine (2) with Christoph Parkinson - Shows with the Apers in Holland (Easter 1999), with the Queers again, with the Groovie Ghoulies in our village (!!), recording a 6-Song EP we never released, only the Hit "Goodbye Ramona" were released on a Ramones 25 Year Anniversary Tribute of the official Fanclub ... - More shows everywhere and compilation-trax ... - 2002 Maddin joined the Band. Touring as a five-guy-pop-punk-guerilla ... more shows with Darlington, Fifi & The Mach III, The Queers (again!), Custom Made Scare and tons of others ... too many to remember - 2003 start of the recording of the Debut-album (after all these years ...) and still on the road ... - RELEASE OF THE DEBUT-RECORD on Pussy Hunter Rec.!!! - more shows with cool Bands like the Blitzkrieg Boys (!), Nikki Corvette, Pistol Grip and ... (?) ... more ... Hank left the Band (SHIT!) - still on th road and - on Tour in June 2008 with the BLITZKRIEG BOYS!! Watch out ... the RED STAR POP PUN GUERILLA IS HERE !!!......................................................... .....................................(German-Version) Die SENTIMENTS begannen irgendwann anfang 1989 . Bandnamen wie "High Voltage" blieben nicht lange und so nannte man sich 1991 STRANGE SENTIMENT. Es wurde abwechselnd auf Punkshows und Schulveranstaltungen gespielt. Bis 1995 wurden zwei Tapes veröffentlicht und viele Gigs gespielt. Im Mai 1996 wurde innerhalb von 2 Tagen ein paar neue Songs geschrieben und sofort im Studio aufgenommen. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .....................Das line-up änderte sich. Seit dem Zeitpunkt hiess die neue Mannschaft: THE SENTIMENTS Paul (vox), Hank (guitar), Gregor (Bass) und Carlos (drums, b'vox). Es wurden immer mehr Gigs gegeben und man teilte sich die Bühne mit Bands wie Misfits, Queers, Poison Idea, Agnostic Front, Oxymoron, Jet Bumpers, UK Subs, Bollock Brothers, Groovie Ghoulies, Pansy Division, Servotron, Travoltas, Marky Ramone and the Intruders, Darlington, Donots und Tonnen von anderen Punkbands aus der ganzen Welt. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ....................................Mitgeprägt wurde auf jeden Fall der Pop Punk Boom der irgendwann gegen Ende der 90er eintrat. Es wurden gemeinsam Shows mit Bands wie den Apers, Backwood Creatures, Jet Bumpers, Sonic Dolls, Steve Mc Queens, Nimrods, Cellophane Suckers, Cheeks, Reekys, Travoltas und später auch Hawaiians (wo der ex-Sänger Beppo mitrockte), Favorats oder den Lobotomys und Freebees (pre-Vaders) in ganz Deutschland und dem benachbarten Ausland gespielt. 2002 kam dann der Maddin (guitar) dazu und die Truppe war komplett. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................. Tja und nun sind THE SENTIMENTS wieder zu viert da wir uns leider von unserem gitarristen Hank the Tank trennen mussten. Na ja weiter gehts und wir haben natürlich auch schon direkt nen paar neue songs in petto....................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................... Ach ja hier noch nen paar REVIEWS ............................................................ ............................................................ ... OX Fanzine ..54 (März 2004)"...und als ich ankam spielten schon die Sentiments aus Westerkappeln. Die sind ja auch schon seit Jahren dabei und haben es in dieser Zeit geschafft ihren Sound so gut wie nicht zu verändern. Retard-Pop-Punk nennt man das wohl. Nur einen zweiten Gitarristen haben die sich zugelegt, der ein paar gute Leads einbringt. Und der Sänger hat seine langen Haare ab, sieht dafür aber jetzt aus wie Ben Teewag (der dämliche Sohn von Uschi Glas). Und wenn sich das gerade negativ anhörte, muss ich gleich kontern, dass ich begeistert war!!! Der Sänger sah mit seinem stieren Blick nämlich aus wie aus der Klapse entflohen und auch musikalisch durfte sich das nur so und nicht anders anhören! Cooler Auftritt der bei mir irgendwie so ein gewisses Nostalgiegefühl hervorrief." ............................................................ ............................................................ .............. What they are up to throughout these fourteen tracks reminds kinda of a mixture between a "Boys Night Out"-era Sonic Dolls, the first Retarded album, a small shot of Backwood Creatures and at times some Beach Boys backing vocals thrown in.
