Hi * This is the MUNK page MUNK is the band of MATHIAS MODICA. One of the two guys behind GOMMA RECORDS from Germany. A new MUNK album comes up in the last week of may. The first MUNK album APERITIVO came out in 2005. London’s i– D magazine described it as “...superb futuristic disco and psycho soul”. The NME wrote MUNK were something like “...the German version of DFA.” In fact the Munk debut album included the club hit KICK OUT THE CHAIRS! Recorded with JAMES MURPHY of DFA's LCD SOUNDSYSTEM. Now the new MUNK album CLOUDBUSTER comes up. Expect lots of pianos, flutes, old synths. wacky drummachines. The album features Italian actress ASIA ARGENTO, Matty Safer (THE RAPTURE), German 70ies movie icon KLAUS LEMKE and TELONIUS - aka Jonas Imbery who wrote and produced the songs with Modica.
