| Let..s be honest if you lived somewhere as beautiful as Portugal the idea of sitting in a studio, getting your head down and toiling over a hot mixing desk wouldn..t be the most appealing way to spend some time. Unless of course you..re Carlos Fauvrelle and aren..t we glad he..d rather spend his time locked away in a darkened room as opposed to lazing the days away in the blistering heat of the European sunshine. Not content with his prolific studio projects, remixing and original tracks Carlos is currently refining his ..live.. dj performance using samples and ..work in progress.. to create a truly stunning and unique performance and although Fauvrelle has continued to work on solo projects he has also teamed up with friend and studio partner Frank Maurel. This has been a very worthwhile partnership, which has resulted in original releases and remixes on labels like Twisted Records, Sondos, Harlen, Loaded/Skint, Distraekt, Tao, etc.. Also they started ..Lajja recordings.., getting attention from all the usual guys..One of them it´s Tom (Superchumbo) Stephan who was so impressed by the quality of Maurel and Fauvrelle..s studio output that he specifically asked for the pair to remix his huge hit of 2002, Irresistable. DJ Vibe, Deep Dish and John Creamer & Stephane K have been fans also, including some Carlos tracks in their mixed compilations. For 2006 he as schedule remix work for names like Chus & Ceballos, Mert Yucel, Kobbe & Leeds, Peter Bailey & Ricthie Santana and originals for Armada Music (big support by Markus Schulz, Armin Van Buuren) , Sondos and Tweekd. .. and his new label, Meridua Recordings! | |
