Myspace Editor Pimp MySpace Malcolm Harris who took the fashion industry by storm with his previous collaborative collection, Katsumi and Malcolm, has been designing both ready-to-wear and made-to-order fashion for more many years. Mr. Harris is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology as well as possesses a Master's Degree in English Literature from New York University. Malcolm embarked on his career by apprenticing at various fashion houses throughout Paris, France including the ateliers of Paco Rabanne, Yves Saint Laurent and Jean Paul Gaultier. He later found himself working as a talented and much sought after fashion stylist. He is now continuing with his solo career under the label Mal Sirrah (which is the designer's last name spelled in reverse). After a mere two seasons under his well fashioned belt, Mr. Harris's new collection has been fortunate enough to garner major media and industry attention. The Mal Sirrah collection adorns the likes of Academy Award winning actress, Reese Witherspoon, actress/singer Jennifer Lopez, singer Joss Stone, as well as superstar - MADONNA. Malcolm Harris is truly a talented and gifted designer, and it is apparent that he will continue to build a solid customer base of loyal and faithful followers. Almost a year ago I had a dream about designing evening and wedding gowns for QUEENS, PRINCESSES and SOCIALITES of the Middle East. This dream was so real until I knew that it was more of a foreshadowing than a mere dream. The next morning I began doing research on this region and fell in love with the possibilities surrounding Dubai, UAE... I prayed to the universe to make this dream a reality. This is what I have now learned about dreams: DREAMS are 50% GOD or UNIVERSE given/inspired and 50% hardwork and committment. As a result of this dream not only have I been granted access to this world of Queens, Princesses, and socialites (in hindsight I have now discovered that this is an extremely rare feat for any designer let alone an American designer); but now the name Mal Sirrah is one of the first considered within the Palaces when the ROYALS are planning for their next big wedding, event and/or public appearance... In conclusion I say this: DREAM BIG AND THE UNIVERSE WILL ANSWER EVEN BIGGER... |
