| This June will see popular Glasgow singer-songwriter Kieran Docherty release his eagerly anticipated album 'Hands Up If You've Had Enough'. The release will be supported with a Scottish tour in May/June accompanied by Edinburgh's THE DEAD BEAT CLUB.This second offering from Docherty, recorded in Spring 2007 at Glasgow's Park Lane studios and mixed and mastered by Paul McGeechan, is the follow-up to 2006's 'Expectations'. Then, his signature blend of acoustic pop and folk charmed critics and audiences alike. 'Hands Up If You've Had Enough' singles him out as one of Scotland's most melodic tunesmiths and looks set to broaden his appeal.2007 saw a host of headline and support shows at high-profile events and venues, including Oran Mor, Celtic Connections and Burns An' A' That Festival (supporting Deacon Blue and The Saw Doctors). Docherty has also supported Nick Harper on several Scottish dates last year and headlined his own Scottish tour.Like many of the country's 'under-the-radar' performers, Docherty has steadily conquered the touring circuit to become a familiar - and welcome- face across the country's venues, and has received strong, consistent support form the likes of BBC Scotland, XFM Scotland and Real Radio.Influenced by artists like Neil Finn, Roddy Frame and Ryan Adams, Docherty began his career with a showcase at Cottiers Theatre in 2003.
