Ranjahz - InspirationHailing from the slums of the north east coast, by the way of Brooklyn, NY.C. is the Dynamic Duo, the Awesome Twosome. Simply preferred to be called, THA DEUCE. Tired of baring eons of stigmatism, the two man group HAPH & WAIS formally known as DA RANJAHZ came to the conclusion that with time, there comes change. With their relentless approach, to not only turn a page in Hip Hops history, but to write a page of their own the duo set out on an odyssey. A journey which began several years ago as official members of the then known Team Roc. (Jay-z, Big Jaz, Sauce Money, Da Ranjahz,[Tha Deuce] & Memphis Bleek). In 1998 the two landed a guest appearance on Jay-zs Hard Knock life. Vol-2 track titled if I should die, in 1999 Memphis Bleeks Coming Of Age track titled N.O.W.. In 2000 they signed a deal on the Carter Faculty DEF JAM label, which due to poor management later collapsed. Vowing to never leave their destiny in anyone elses hands, they purchased their own studio gear and got on their mixtape grind. As the years follow, they have managed to collaborate with various artist, such as: Ja Rule, Petey Pablo, Rass Kas, Jelly Roll, Dj Premier, Cee-lo (goodie mob) and Raekwon (wu-tang clan), to name a few. In fall 2003 they released a single along with a video titled Inspiration that was accompanied with vocals by: Cee-lo and produced by: Dj premier. With too high of expectations and, too little promotions, the project was short lived. But, with children to feed, bills to be paid and slow progression, THA DEUCE decided that it was time to take it back to the streets, from which theyve never left. Knowing that the law of physics doesnt support anyone person being two places, at the same time, if Haph and Wais primary focus was getting that MONEY, the group had to find a balance between Music careers, and street business. In doing so, many sacrifices were eventually made. After a once sweet drug transaction went sour on Haph and numerous shake downs and un-necessary harassment toWais on behalf of NYPD, for soliciting (PIMPIN), the BuckTown natives realized that time is of essence. With Haph being a self taught guitarist, producer and engineer and Wais being the prolific writer that he is for himself and others, the term primitive can not be used in the same sentence with THA DEUCE. This duo has chemistry, flow, style, charisma and timeless talents that are un-matched by any other two man M.C. crew. Un-concerned but extremely exasperated by the so called studio beef, in late 2005, early 2006 they retuned to studio to complete some un-finished business. Now having been virtually forced to master their crafts by a politically driven music industry, THA DEUCE has presently recorded over fifty (50) new songs and has currently hooked up with DERIC D-DOT ANGELETTE, whose responsible for hit records such as: NOTORIOUS B.I.Gs Hypnotize and P-diddys The Benjamins, and whom will be spearheading their new project. In it theyll discuss what their voyage up to this point, in their lives have been like. They also whole no punches, as they explain why they chose to LEAVE the ROCAFELLA camp, and what their relationships are like today. Just when you thought NEW YORK was soft, just when you thought that, if its not south of the boarder, its not hot. Here to beg the differ, are HIP HOPS best kept secret.
