About Me |
|
| Suburban Groove was an album 12 years in the making. After surviving music college and business school and sharing the stage with several bands, Stan targeted his vision into making instrumental grooves. Being a self proclaimed "Bad Singer", he uses only music to express himself. This has broadened Stan's musical landscapes by not being limited to any particular genre. By studying music of many different artists in many different genres, Stan felt it important to focus on the central part of any good tune, The Groove. Without a groove, there is no reason to tap your foot, bob your head, or make sexy time with your hips on the dance floor. In a world of musicians that can sometimes get caught up with how many notes they are playing or how many tritone subs they are employing, Stan has chosen to focus on "The Groove." Stan has had the pleasure of playing in such acts as SD3, Nu Funk Mafia, Nathan Anderson, The Main Ingrediant, Wayne Kile (formerly of American Head Charge), Sarah Wagner, and Bluestone Moon. Stan is currently playing with Ali Washington and the Movement. Be sure to add her as a friend and check out up and coming shows.. | |
