HAVE A LOOK AT OUR NEW WEBSITE: www.celloharp.com Debut CD 2:forty now out. See www.celloharp.com for further details. Scots cellist and singer, Seylan Baxter, joins Alaskan harper, Cheyenne Brown in a duo which approaches traditional Scottish tunes and songs from an unusual perspective. Cello and harp are both equally comfortable carrying the tune or supporting it with accompaniment and the duo's arrangements are both fresh and varied, with Seylan's vocals adding further depth to the mix. Seylan was the first principal study cellist to train in Scottish music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. She also teaches cello - she's currently the tutor for the Glasgow Fiddle Workshop - and has recently completed a teaching manual for cello accompaniment to Scottish fiddle which will be published soon. As well as accoustic cello she plays a 5-string electric cello from Ned Steinberger and has recently begun learning double bass.
