09.15.08 Last night I was in the studio and finished recording a new track that I wrote with with Joe Bermudez and Greg Pic . Joe will be working on it this week and hopefully I can put it up on my page in a couple of weeks for everyone to hear. I am a Singer & Songwriter from Boston (best city eva, guy!). I started pursuing all things music at the age of 10 and I have been fortunate enough to share the stage and studio with many well-respected music artists and performers along the way. Being on stage and touring with Neil Young was a truly amazing experience! My mom grew up listening to him so that made it even more special to me. My mother enrolled me in ballet lessons at the age of three and by the age of 10 I was trained in ballet and jazz and also singing in a touring children’s choir. That first year of being in the choir involved performing in a local musical theater production. Shortly after that first production, my choir director asked me to sing a solo at a Christmas concert. That solo is what dubbed me as "the little girl with the big voice". By the age of 15, I had been involved in professional theater productions and also competed and won several talent competitions. At the age of 17, I received a full arts scholarship to pursue musical theater at Bradford College. After two years of college I decided to take some time off from school. During my academic break, I started singing in a blues/gospel band and really began exploring my voice and tapping into my abilities as a songwriter. I now perform and write my own material as well as collaborating with others along the way. The tracks that you can listen to on my profile are from a project where I worked closely with producer/songwriters Chris Trevett and Victor Bruno, NYC (whose credits include Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, R. Kelly, and Aaliyah). “I Just Want Your Love” was featured in two Sundance Film Festival featured independents, ("Dough Boys" and "Lbs."). “We Don’t Have To Talk” features hip hop artist, Lord Tariq. Aside from my music, I’m very active in the Boston community and volunteer whenever possible and fully support Pine Street Inn (a non-profit shelter for men, women and children) and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mass Bay . ♥ my family & friends mean the world to me ♥ i’m not rude, you just have to REALLY catch my attention ♥ i *LOVE* sushi and haribo gummies ♥ my sister, Hayley will always be the most beautiful girl I know ♥ i'm fun & i know how to have a good time wherever i am ♥ i love the movie ‘ELF’ ♥ i have a lot of acquaintances but let few people into my life ♥ i party @ the Playboy Mansion ♥ i'm usually the one making people laugh ♥ don't send me creepy messages…or i will humilate you ♥ it takes a LOT to earn my trust ♥ i stay in shape by fantasizing about In ‘N’ Out Doubles ♥ i am pretty much ridiculous and love to amuse myself ♥ i have a lunchbox collection ♥ i get the urge to laugh all the time ♥ my mom loves to buy me crazy socks ♥ i'm arachnaphobic ♥ i have two body piercings besides my ears ♥ i am the life of the party but I enjoy my quiet time too ♥ art fascinates me and i crave creativity ♥ i don’t like to think about death ♥ i am a perfectionist ♥ cupcakes are my favorite dessert ♥ i am a bookworm ♥ i like being optimistic ♥ i have zero tolerance for ignorance and/or jealousy singing into my hairbrush, dance parties with Stacey, cooking for people that i love, riding rollercoasters with my mom, pho soup and bubble tea, i love EVERYTHING 80's, being sarcastic, sundays at the VENICE BEACH, CA farmers' market and getting my bookworm on Each week I spend some time reading & returning comments and messages. I can't get back to everyone - it would take me forever and unfortunately, I don't have the time. I am a VERY busy bee...There are some days that I simply don't have time to answer ANYONE. I DO personally read and appreciate EACH AND EVERY COMMENT... VERY VERY MUCH! |
