Neste universo â€“ paralelo, pois claro! â€” a realidade Ã© um acto demasiado consciente. O mundo Ã© ensaiado numa guitarra acÃºstica e outra amplificada, onde as faixas versam sobre personagens de amor e Ã³dio. Ã‰ fÃ¡cil assegurar que Autista se segue a Tartaruga, o primeiro, nÃ£o pela vulgar maturidade, antes pela â€” e Ã© diferente â€” perda de ingenuidade. Se Tartaruga andou Ã deriva por este mundo fora, Autista faz-nos parecer que conhece o caminho: Ã© mais intenso, mais pesado e mais envolvente. Adulto, diria. Este cancioneiro nÃ£o serÃ¡, por isso, amor Ã primeira vista, nem amor que se sabe para a vida, â€” ou a morte â€”, inteira. Ã‰ possÃvel consolidar a premissa apÃ³s repetidas audiÃ§Ãµes, de olhos fechados, sem interlÃºdio. Canta-se com a alma de outros tempos, a de sempre. A pena faz parte do seu timbre, do tom de quem Ã© um contador de histÃ³rias, de barba feita, mas sem rugas, sentado numa esquina qualquer. Os transeuntes jamais terÃ£o a percepÃ§Ã£o exacta daquilo que Ã© ou daquilo que canta â€” um pobre diabo? A atitude Ã© claramente dicotÃ³mica, entre a auto-exclusÃ£o por opÃ§Ã£o em â€œsabe a pouco o que a vida nos reservouâ€; e a exclusÃ£o forÃ§ada que resulta num lamento desolado e descrente: â€œalguÃ©m que pare o mundo que eu quero sairâ€. Talvez em Autista, tenha criado um mundo sÃ³ seu, onde Ã© mais difÃcil entrar. HÃ¡ que saltar o muro. Azevedo Silva regressa. Azevedo Silva veio para ficar, percebe-se. HÃ¡ que ter em conta as ediÃ§Ãµes anuais que nos tem oferecido. As influÃªncias continuam em Zeca Afonso, sem preconceitos, com humildade e, sobretudo, atitude. Autista Ã© despido e despojado. Os arranjos sÃ£o, a par da beleza, subliminares. A simplicidade nada fica a dever Ã intensidade das canÃ§Ãµes que se fazem ouvir. Aqui a guitarra continua a ser o melhor instrumento para dar forma Ã s vozes que dentro de si, sem rasto, querem sair. E saem mesmo. ~ Once upon a timeâ€¦ - thatâ€™s how every good story begins. Autista, Azevedo Silvaâ€™s second album, is an exercise in sadness, isolation and loneliness. Itâ€™s the irony of perception of someone who lives isolated but surrounded by people â€“ we are all like that, autistic. In this (parallel) universe Reality is something to be perceived in its own tunnel. The world is sketched by two guitars, an acoustic and an electric one. In that world the songs are about beings of love and hate. It is clear that Autista follows the first album Tartaruga (turtle), not only because it is more mature but mainly because it lost the naÃ¯ve feeling. If Tartaruga drifted through the world, Autista knows the way: it is heavier, more intense, more overwhelming. This album will not be a case of love-at-first-sight, nor is it certain that you will understand that this is love for all your life (and death). One can vouch for this, after several listening sessions preferably with our eyes closed. In the voice that is singing, there is a soul of the old ages, of all ages. Bystanders will not be sure of what he is or sings about â€“ some poor devil? Maybe Autista is in his own world where access does not follow easily from listening. There is a wall and we must jump over it. Azevedo Silva is here to stay, it is evermore clear and this second album is proof. His influences are still pointing to Carlos Paredesâ€™ guitar and Zeca Afonsoâ€™s personality - without prejudices, being humble and having a strong attitude. Autista is, despite its instrumental richness, naked and bare. However, simplicity does not compromise intensity. In this world guitars are still the best instrument to express the voices they have within, the voices that want to get out â€“ and they really do.
