| In January 2007 my partner, soul mate and the love of my life, Nick, celebrated 27 wonderful years together. For twenty of those years, I am proud to have been actively involved in the struggle to obtain equal benefits, protections and rights for my GLBT brothers and sisters. As well as against all forms of discrimination, bigotry, hatred and prejudice directed at all people. "After all, we are all Gods children, and as such should be treated with the same love, caring, compassion and respect that all his children deserve". It is our hope and goal that Pride Tampa Bay's My Space Friends will inspire others to be proud of who they are. And serve as a resource center for our GLBT communities locally, nationally and worldwide. Our Friends are selected because they promote or support Anti-Bigotry, Discrimination, Hatred and Hate Inspired Violence, GLBT Adoption/Parents Marriage, Pride, Rights, Youth/GSA Student Groups, HIV/AIDS Support & Resource Centers, Spiritual & Houses of Worship, GLBT/Straight Celebrities-Role Models Allies and Our Advocates. ....

Shot to death in a classroom full of students by 14 year old Brandon McInerney. Days before he was murdered, Larry had asked his killer to be his Valentine.
