Play guitar with Yune on stage. Have been playing guitar with Billy Jenkins & The BBC. Longstanding project with Leeds man Mhic McGlashan is Short Cut To Trouble - I play guitar and we write the material together. Influences: I grew up on jazz (dad) and crooners (mum). Later on went into hardrock (Zep, Deep Purple) and blues (first Rory Gallagher - so I bought an electric ! - then Muddy, John Lee Hooker and so on). Playing bass and writing quite a bit at the moment. Looking for money to record 'solo' album. Probably in the UK. Have a major liking for funk and free improvising. Don't think 'genre' is important, but obviously we're all limited to something. Very important to me are, zum Beispiel : - John Coltrane - Jimi Hendrix - Rory Gallagher - Richard Thompson - - Van Morrison - Michelle Shocked - Muddy Waters - Wes Montgomery - Bach - Billie Holiday, James Blood Ulmer, Ornette Coleman, Joni Mitchell, James Jamerson, and so on ...
