BIO Melusa nace en septiembre de 2004. Casi dos años recorriendo las salas del circuito madrileño, una primera maqueta Love me Baby Demo en 2005 y algunas reseñas en la prensa especializada dan poco a poco credibilidad y entidad a esta banda. Su sonido va desde pianos elegantes y cálidas melodÃas hasta guitarras rotas del estilo más directo y su repertorio cuenta con influencias como Pavement, Pixies o Nick Cave. Melusa se formó inicialmente por Charlie Bautista (piano, guitarra y voz), Manuel Cabezalà (guitarra y coros), José Guinea (baterÃa) y Gonzalo Magallanes (bajo). En noviembre de 2005 fichan por el sello Junk Records y en diciembre comienzan la grabación de su primer disco Like in the Movies (Junk 07/06) 13 temas de composición y descomposición del pop. Cabe destacar la actuación de Melusa en el programa Ipop de TVE y la participación en la banda sonora del Efecto Rubick con una original versión del Heroes de Bowie. Actualmente la banda se ha disuelto pero volverá a formarse en futuro con temas en castellano y nueva formación. ............................................................ ......................................... Melusa appears in September 2004. Two years touring madrid's most important venues, a first demo "Love me Baby" in 2005 and some reviews in specialized press speak for themselves. Elegant piano line and warm melodies against crunch guitars build up their set, influenced by Pavement, Pixies or Nick Cave. Melusa was formed initially by Charlie Bautista (piano, guitars and vocals), Manuel Cabezali (guitars and backing vocals), Jose Guinea (drums) and Gonzalo Magallanes (bass). In November 2005 the band sings up with Junk Records and gets into the studio to record their first album "Like in the movies". It is worth mentioning Melusa's live show on Spain's national tv program Ipop. Also they participated in the spanish film "El Efecto Rubick", with an original cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" for its soundtrack. At the moment the band is temporarily dissolved but will rejoin in the future with new repertoire in spanish and new members. |
