Duncan, started gigging at the age of 17 and went on to work in touring bands throughout Australia and island entertainment residencies in his early twenties entertaining ..boards, vocals and through his songwriting. He then began producing other acts. In his roles as keyboardist, programmer, arranger, producer and audio engineer, he has worked alongside unknown artists/bands, as well as some of the industries heavyweights and household names. Duncan has always loved the creative process and enjoys guiding people along the path to achieving their creative goals. A songwriter himself, he also enjoys the collaborative process, which he believes to be one of the key ingredients to succeeding in today's music business. He has produced and or engineered over 1000 albums and projects, which cover all styles and genres of music. From Heavy Metal and Grunge to R&B and Country or Electronica and Dance to Pop and Industrial. Duncan has worked on and/or won awards in all these styles. He believes that although genres have their different approaches and mechanisms, the craft of producing a record remains the same. Music:Member Since: 01/04/2006Band Website: http://www.touchwoodproductions.com Band Members: Producer / Songwriter / Composer: Duncan Wood Sounds Like: Duncan has owned and operated several major studios during his career and has drawn on these experiences in creating the facility at Bellmere. Although he has a love for working in the large format studios around the country, he enjoys making his Project Studios comfortable and welcoming. TOUCHWOOD PRODUCTIONS (affectionately known as THE BUNKER) definitely fits this description. Equipment wise, the studio varies dependant on clients needs, but is built around a DIGIDESIGN Pro Tools HD4 system with 192 i/o interface, with a large arsenal of software synths, samplers and plug-ins. All this audio travels through the NEVE 1622 Summing box for that NEVE "X" factor. In house are a KORG TRITON Synth, KORG SP500 Piano, a KAWAI K5000 Keyboard and an ENSONIQ MR-Rack module. Monitoring is through both Industry standard Yamaha NS10s and Custom Built BAM1s, Designed and built by Joe Malone With 26 inch LCD and surround monitoring setup, Touchwood is geared towards both music production and vision post, layback and surround production capabilities.
