| THE STORYThanks for taking a little look & listen! Yes as you should have gathered by now, I'm Josephine Grace & I love singing, writing & producing music. Oh, and the odd performance here & there too!I'm now 23 (how did that happen?) & newly married (& that?!!) to David, who's a secondary maths teacher near where we currently live in Liverpool.Last year I won Streetwaves' Most Ready Act in the St Helens area (that's where I'm from) which was a fantastic experience. My brother Matt came on board as my acoustic guitarist & we had a great time doing the mini-tour with Streetwaves over the summer including the St Helens Festival, Eclectica, Creamfields & the Mathew Street Festival.It's only been the last couple of years that I've actually started calling myself a 'singer'. Before that I referred to myself as most prominently a flautist (someone who plays the flute in case you're wondering what a 'flaut' is!) I have a slight obsession with the piano, I do play a bit, but just the sound of it played beautifully melts me...Having said that I am relatively normal, I've got a fantastic bunch of friends, plenty of them are from our church. Yeah I'm a Christian, & I'm serious about it, without being 'heavy'. That's the way I think it should be. God is wonderful to me.Let's see, I like (need!) to have space & time to myself, I'm a perfectionist (whereas most of my friends - & infact my husband - are 'populars'), I love drinking tea & eating Cadbury's chocolate.Different people inspire me in individual ways, they include: Mary Mary - their voices & music have seriously impacted my life fantastically, my vocal coach Tracey - for her encouragement & everything she's taught me & more, my husband David - for being a genuinely good man to me & picking me up when I need it.Well, do get in touch - I do my best to reply!Love, Josephine x[April 2008] |
