And this is “me”…Born and raised in Oxford, a small northern town in Mississippi where I found my gift of rhyming, lyrics, skills, back when I was 15 years old. I was raised in a poor southern family who grew up in the projects (CB Webb) back in the 80’s. My Grandfather raised me, struggling daily to keep food on the table and clothes on our back. The Lord brought him home in 1997, my senior year in high school. My father was in and out of prison and he was, what you would call, a “Hustler”. The conditions of my life turned me into one as well. My mother had a mental disability so I had to take on responsibilities at a early age. I’ve been threw hell all of my life, doing what I had to. Realizing that the Lord brought me into this life for a reason, and though I may not understand it as I go through the struggles, I recognize my blessings… I’ve been with different local rap groups over the years; always the serious one who stayed focused and motivated, while everyone else stayed in those streets, so I moved on. I’ve been locked up a few times and my last incarceration changed my life. This is when I moved to Jackson Mississippi to raise my daughter, who is now 5 years old (my heart). My ambition is to be a successful and stable father, (something I never had).The rap game is a major part of my life and who I am. I have and will continue to work as hard as hell to get where I need to be. I breath ambition. There were moments when I didn’t have the means to purchase studio time, and those who had studios, who could have helped, were either jealous, selfish or just straight up competition. So I got on the grind and purchased my own (home) studio! I was able to complete project after project, including the songs on these demos. Now I take on local talent and give them studio time to lay down their tracks, showing support and encouragement (something no one would do for me).I’ve strengthened my flow and creativity over the past 13 years and I’ve been moving forward ever since. I’ve put out three underground cd’s, (working on a forth), locally sparking a flame, which brought me into doing shows throughout Mississippi and Memphis Tennessee. My work, my lyrics are based on experiences, struggles and are mostly based on true events, or things I’ve seen growing up in the projects. You will hear my gangsta side, as well as my soft side (for example, the song I wrote for my daughter Hailey, track 15 - I’m Hold’n My Own cd). I have so much I can share with you, but if I continued, it would turn into a novel.
