| In a generation where music is as disposable as paper plates and plastic cups, few artists stand out and craft material that become timeless. Kahli is one of such musicians. He has developed a unique style that blends sounds of his origin and modern genres. Everything put together is -if you will- a sonic riot of pure bliss. From his thought provoking lyrics to the heartwarming music behind him, it is no doubt that this young man will make history.A native of Jos, Nigeria, Kahli grew up loving music. Both of his parents were part of the church choir and songwriters in their rights. Evidently, Kahli's family has had a strong influence on his love for music. He adores legends Fela Kuti and Bob Marley which shows why he speaks with such consciousness and passion, using the limited bars of his verses and choruses to convey truth to all who care to listen. Also, his exposure to 2pac, Nas and Ice Cube years ago tells on his amazing lyrical ability and wordplay. Kahli has appeared on numerous albums and efforts that would be quite difficult to compile really. He independently put together and released his debut "The Grind Theory" which is garnering admiration and respect from all over the globe. What is fascinating about Kahli is that he treats his music as one treats life. He possesses the fire of legends."It is bigger than business" he says. As he put in his own words: "I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my music. I think it is a God-given privilege to be able to channel love and energy into these songs. I never used to think I was talented. I could only speak from experiences and such. I struggled to create ideas that would gain mainstream approval. Because whatever I wrote, [whether it was] poems or whatever, I made sure that there was truth in it. So I thought I would always make tracks just to express myself in a way of therapy and self-building. I really wouldn't have believed you if you had told me people would connect to my music.
