Nutz was founded in 1999 by Ryan Hervé, in the surf blessed island community of Jersey, Channel Islands. Born and bred on local waves, Ryan left the island to study surfing industry skills board shape, design and technology at Falmouth Marine School where he became hooked on the soul of shaping a board from scratch. Originally a collaboration of a passion for surf and- music – Nutz incorporated skating and snowboarding from the influence of Scott Nixon, then a friend, pro-snowboarder, artist and DJ. Ryan continues to be the soul of the company, beautifully crafting Nutz surfboards to each customer’s individual needs. You can see him everyday in The Factory.
