| Having been described as one of the most interesting local bands on the scene at the moment, New Rock Chemists splice indie guitars with electro synth sounds along with lyrics that the man/woman on the street can relate to. Formed at the end of 2004 the Chemists were originally a three piece act. After a few line-up changes they are now a four piece with the three original members Mark Hutchison, Craig Morris and Paul Hutchison hailing from Ballingry, and Joe Coyle from Dunfermline. The Chemists played their first gig in May 2006 and since then have played in various cities across UK and Ireland, having had some memorable nights along the way, playing venues such as the barrowlands 2 and liverpool's famous cavern club, to name a couple.
