I'm Patrick Carlin. People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and I am what some people call mentally retarded I've been on MySpace for a while, usually known as that Pat "Fricken" Carlin guy. I originally joined in a moment of...stupidity? boredom? curiosity? I'll admit it, I got sucked in before most people even knew what MySpace was. Before MySpace was a trend. After a while it became addicting (which I'm sure most of you would agree with me). It was almost like there was something in the air, you inhale it - it takes over. Two hours later you couldn't walk away. Countless hours that you'll never get back sitting in front of the computer doing nothing but... searching bands whos songs you've heard a million times over again? Looking up that head cheerleader from highschool to see if she's gotten fat? Looking up your ex to see if you're hotter than their new significant other? Simply put... it's just wasting time. It amuses you, it entertains you. So, here is my little needle in a haystack of a world that we call MySpace. So your more than welcome to poke the profile, smell the profile, speak to the profile - and depending on what substance you're on - it might talk back. But remember what I said, it's pretty much a waste of time. |
