Sometimes, it's easier to identify with the former. Why should music be bound to an earthly lineage? For the longest time, I sought after a "sound" that was beyond any cultural identity. Since that style of music is inaudible, I decided to seek after the cultural musics of the world. In that quest, I discovered what I believed to be the common themes and sonic elements that makes music the medium that transcends all barriors. Here are some of my influences:Viliyat Khan, Jimmy Hendrix, Stranvinsky, Bach, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Peter Grabriel, John Coltrane, Paco de Lucia, VanGelis, Bartok, Al Green and the list goes on!
