| Tears Of Misery is a Colombian Death Metal Band, lyricaly focused in the brutal reality of a country such as Colombia, filled with violence, murder, rape and gore, the band also has a nihilistic aproach to the aspects of Religion, sex, politics and social themes. Tears of Misery doesn..t want to transmit any specific ideology we are just mere witnesses of a crude, cruel but yet confortable society. Tears of Misery tiene sus inicios en el año 2000 tocando thrash metal bajo el nombre Lagrimas de Miseria en ese entonces conformada por: Sebastian Rodriguez (Guitarra y Voz), Ricardo Fonseca (Bajo y Voz), Oscar Bayona (guitarra) y Cristian Laiton (Bateria). Hacia el año 2002 la banda encamina su rumbo hacia un sonido distinto mas enfocado hacia el Death Metal igualmente cambia su nombre a Tears of Misery, a la banda ingresan Diego Gutierrez en el Bajo y Leonardo Ascarate en la voz este es el verdadero inicio de la banda, en el 2006 la banda graba su primer Demo titulado "State of Catarsis" con un sonido enfocado hacia el Melodic Death Metal con matizes de Doom metal, posteriormente por diferencias musicales Leonardo Ascarate abandona la banda y hay un periodo de ..Stand By¨hacia mediados del 2007 la banda retoma actividades con Diego Gutierrez en la voz y tiene multiples conciertos en distintos lugares compartiendo tarima con bandas importantes, despues Cristian Laiton decide dar un paso al costado hacia finales del 2007 igualmente por diferencias musicales puesto que la banda decide enfocar su sonido hacia el death metal mas puro y brutal, posteriormente a la banda ingresa el baterista Giovanny Roa procedente de las Bandas Almost, Detritus Argaith y Neurosis con su llegada la banda toma un sonido mucho mas crudo y brutal enfocado hacia el Old School Technical brutal death despues a la banda llegaria el Vocalista Hernan Bautista procedente de las bandas Cursed y Spiritar con la alineación completa la banda pasa los primeros meses del 2008 componiendo y acoplando su sonido y logra encontrar una identidad musical enmarcada en lo que definen como Death metal Latinoamericano.
