NonXistence was started by Michael Jackson and Paul Alderete in 2000. They are two friends with a common love of music, who set out to create an awesome metal band. After spending time writing and recording songs, they began looking for other musicians to complete the line-up. Lorenzo Mesta (drums), and Brandon Sedillo (guitar), joined the band in 2006. After going through two bass players and auditioning several others, Freddie Vidales joined the band on bass in February of 2007. Freddie left the band in 2008. David Arriola is now handling bass duties. Brandon, being a member of the National Guard Reserve, is currently serving a tour in Iraq. Ray Wilkinson joined the band on guitar in 2007 and later departed in 2008. Taking his place is Jason Kahanek. Lorenzo eventually left the band for personal reasons, and was replaced in 2007 by Phil Franco, formerly of Order 66. The band landed a major gig playing with Dope, MANNTIS, and Bleed the Sky as their first show. NonXistence has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with national and international acts such as God Forbid, Mnemic, Mastery, Silent Civilian, Arsis, Miss Crazy, Daath, Occam's Razor, and Ankla.
