| Root Diamoons is a band from Barcelona dedicated to classic ska, rocksteady and ska-jazz music. Their love for the music from the 'treasure island' of Jamaica, and their desire to ensure their high quality music always goes hand in hand with a party have brought them wide recognition as a band within this genre of music in Catalonia. A powerful horn section, voice harmonies and a solid base constitute a sound which transports you to 1960s Jamaica, where great artists gave shape to the style of music which the band have wanted to make their own. With their main objectives being to have fun and to make people dance, Root Diamoons play their music wanting to spread the good vibrations so bound to the Jamaican island and to keep this music alive which, even being a minority genre, is gaining its place in their country. Root Diamoons es una banda de Barcelona dedicada al ska clásico, el rocksteady y el ska-jazz. Su ilusión por la música de la isla del tesoro y el interés por llevar de la mano la fiesta y la música de calidad les ha convertido en un grupo reconocido dentro del estilo en Cataluña. Una potente sección de vientos, armonía de voces y una base contundente conforman un sonido que transporta a la Jamaica de los años 60, donde grandes artistas dieron forma a un estilo que la banda ha querido hacer también suyo. Con el objetivo principal de divertirse y hacer bailar, Root Diamoons toca para contagiar las buenas vibraciones tan ligadas a la isla de Jamaica, manteniendo viva una música que aún siendo minoritaria se va ganando un sitio en nuestro país. |
