E-Z Rollers formed in 1994 from Alex (Hyperon Experience) and Jay (JMJ + Richie).The lady roller, vocalist Kelly, joined shortly after. Originally signed to Moving Shadow Records releasing 3 artist albums (Dimensions Of Sound, Weekend World, Titles Of The Unexpected) 4 compilations (Storm From The East 1 and 2, Drunfunk Hooligans 1 and 2) while having music in video games, tv and adverts. Had a Top 20 UK hit with Walk This Land which also featured in the movie Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels. E-Z Rollers label Intercom Recordings was created in 1998. Intercom has released various singles, 2 compilations (Lickable Beats 1 and 2) and has two sub labels New Skool Blazers and Hard Pressed. 2007 saw Intercom release E-Z Rollers fourth artist album entitled Conductor. Next release on Intercom will be E-Z Rollers and Tali in June 08, promos in April. 2008 RELEASE NEWS - E-Z Rollers & Tali - Lets Give In / Liar Liar (vinyl and download) ICOM047 release date 9th June. These tracks have received heavy play on the BBC 1xtra shows of Bailey and Chrissy Criss. Zane Lowe is currently playing on his Radio 1 show. LETS GIVE IN has been added to the 1XTRA DAYTIME PLAY LIST from 16TH APRIL. Straight away you are grabbed by the goolies as the first piece ‘Go Go Electro’ opens. This is a tribute to the pioneers who developed this early eighties sound where a snappy beat kicks off and a raspy, old style vocoder growls such immortal names as Grandmaster Flash and Man Parrish. A bumpy, hard stepping bass formula follows. Talented, non de-rigeur liquid on the rest. Knowledge Playing to their strengths, they continue to fuse jazz elements with upfront vocals and bouncy basslines in a tried and tested formula, but it works like a dream. Featuring the massive 'Crowd Rocker' and a number of tracks built around their all-new live band, this uplifting album sees the Rollers continuing to go from strength to strength. Still rolling after all these years.
