| Riphead was formed in late 2001 by drummer Kevin Kraft and guitarist Dan Gates. After playing together for 8 years in their previous band Ton, Kevin and Dan wanted to continue creating extremely heavy music. In early 2002 long time friend and bassist Scott Aul joined the band. With the addition of Scott Riphead were able to begin playing live and recording. Releasing a 4 song demo brought positive response locally and throughout the underground. During the winter of 2003 Riphead recorded tracks for the split cd with Drogheda. The Riphead/Drogheda split cd was released on Extreme Millennium Entertainment during the fall of 2004. Vocalist Andrew Parrish joined forces with Riphead during the summer of 2004. Andrews punishing vocal style added a new dimension to the band. A new full length cd is on the way for 2006. We are currently looking for a label for this release. Playing many shows throughout Ohio and other states, Riphead strive to create extreme and unique music... | |
