| DOWNFALL s'est formé au cours de l'année 2001 suite à la fusion de deux groupes, Drop Out et Infernal structure. Le combo délivre une musique fortement influencée par des groupes hardcore tels que Arkangel et All out war, mais aussi par des groupes death comme Deicide et Drowning. En octobre 2002, le groupe partage l'affiche avec les parisiens de Forest in Blood " la nouvelle valeur sûre du hardcore francais " (Rocksound). De là découleront plusieurs dates avec ce même groupe. Début 2003, le groupe autoproduit son deuxième maxi-cd, tiré à 500 exemplaires et comprenant 3 titres. Leur troisieme cd ( slaughter foretaste) paru en 2005 etait l'occasion pour eux de montrer leur changement de style, en effet , il nous produisent un cd orientée plus death metal mais en gardant toujours cette grosse touche hardcore qui donne l'envie de se taper dessus!.C'est fin 2006 que le changement de line-up se fait. Kévin (warriors haunted) a integré le groupe en tant que 2eme guitariste en meme temps que sylvain (post-mortem, tortured soul) qui a pris place au chant. En attendant, le groupe est prêt à en découdre avec la scène nationale et nul doute ne fait que Downfall à de fortes chances de s'imposer comme une valeur incontournable du genre…
