ABOUT P60 VENUE P60 is the venue in Amstelveen for pop, culture and multimedia. The venue opened November 1st, 2001, and is built on the culture strand, Stadsplein 100a. P60 is named after the old 'Plein 60'. The stage is located next to the city theatre, music school and open university. Infront of us, you'll find the city square (10.000 people capacity) and opposite us the public library, the congress center of Amstelveen, the Cobramuseum and the shopping/gastronomic strand. The bus station is just around the corner while the A9 is right behind us. P60 is an ultra modern venue and distinguishes itself by its slick and translucent design. The frontage of the building is entirely made of glass with metal strips which provide a view into the cafe, the suite and the office. P60 is also the home of Heroes of Techno P60 ALGEMEEN P60 is het podium voor pop, cultuur en media in Amstelveen. Het poppodium is op 1 november 2001 geopend en is gebouwd in de cultuurstrip op het Stadsplein 100a. P60 is genoemd naar het oude Plein 60. Het podium ligt naast de Stadsschouwburg, Muziekschool en de Volksuniversiteit. Voor ons ligt het Stadsplein (capaciteit 10.000 mensen) en tegenover ons bevindt zich de Openbare Bibliotheek, het Congrescentrum van Amstelveen, het Cobramuseum en de 'winkel-horecastrip'. Het Busstation van Amstelveen is om de hoek en de A9 ligt pal achter ons. P60 is een hypermodern podium en kenmerkt zich door een strakke en transparante vormgeving. De voorgevel is totaal van glas met metalen strips waardoor je ruim inkijk hebt in het cafe, de suite en het kantoor. P60 wordt inmiddels geroemd door de uitstekende geluidskwaliteit van de zalen waardoor het al menig artiest voor repetities, opnames en live-uitzending heeft mogen ontvangen (Blof, Marco Bailey, Raymond van het Groenewoud, Vive la Fete, Spinvis). Het gebouw is aangepast voor radio- en televisie-uitzendingen en er ligt een 100 MB datanetwerk in het gehele gebouw. P60 is een A-Kernpodium bij het Nationaal Pop Instituut. P60 is lid van Vereniging Nederlandse Poppodia, Vereniging voor Podium Technologie en van het Europees netwerk"Trans Europe Halles". |
