"Blutopfer"

On Blutopfer a special ritual of the south is celebrated: the Easter drumming processions of the little Spanish village of Calanda. The primordial power of these rhythms and the magic of the blood that flows from the hands of the drummers touches anyone who has ever witnessed it. Blutopfer opens the door a crack into a world that is far from everyday reality and where nothing seems to exist except for the collective rhythm of the drums.

"Nordland"

Since its release in the year 2000 Apoptose's first album Nordland became something like a cult record for lovers of orchestral ritualistic sondsculptures. Like ancient stone circles on barren landscapes the seven tracks remind of an archaic time when the eternal cycle of life and death was the center of human being.
