About Me

"Music" quoted John Miles "Was my first love and it will be my last". Progressive Rock is my 'thing'and has been for more years than I care to remember. I was introduced initially to Genesis, who still to this day are an important part of my listening pleasure. ‘Selling England by the Pound’ must surely rank as one of the best Lp’s of all time. I was educated in the so called great era of prog, but also found time to become a great fan of bands like 'The Who’ and ‘Led Zeppelin’ fortunately music evolves and moves on and the current crop of prog bands are simply great, I just love the Flower Kings, Porcupine Tree, IQ, Pendragon, Magenta, Riverside, Satellite, Salem Hill, Spocks Beard and Credo who are simply stunning live, talking of which, my pleasure is not only listening to a band but also seeing them live. I have been fortunate enough to catch a few gigs over the last 12 months or so and have seen Pendragon 4 times, Credo more times than I can remember, Australian Pink Floyd, Landmarq 3/4 times, Galahad twice, Magenta three times, The Eagles, Mostly Autumn four times and attended the Summers End festival, in Bilston at the end of September, other bands I’ve seen over the year include the now sadly departed Frost, with the Flower Kings, Also Eden, Darwin’s Radio, John Young and the magnificent IQ and from the US Spocks Beard who were as the yanks say 'Awesome'. This is a great forum for hearing new bands, since being on here I have become a fan of Little Atlas, Izz, and Cryptic Vision as well as many others listed on my Friends page. I am always pleased to hear from other bands and fans of Prog, so please don’t be shy get in touch, we’re a friendly bunch us fans of Prog. According to Last FM my favourite artists are as listed below and who could argue with them!

Here are some of my favourite tracks for your delectation! Hopefully you'll hear one or two surprises!!
