| How did the band first start out? Brett and I had been showing each other songs for years and found they worked really well together. We decided to start a project in early 2006 minus a bass player. Our drummer at the time knew Dana and , after one practice, he was in. Our drummer called us one day and decided to move onto other things. Fortunately Dana knew Kevin, made a phone call, and he was in that very same day. How would you describe your musical style? We’re a modern day version of our influences which span from the 1950’s to the present. We sound like a band inspired by 60’s UK and influenced by current US. You know, unique and exciting, filled with harmonies and hooks. Who are some of your larger influences? The Beatles, Queens of the Stone Age, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Wilco, Pearl Jam, Ryan Adams, Death Cab, Petty, Pete Yorn, Oasis. We could go on forever but those are the ones that come to mind. What sets you apart from the other bands out there? Our sound sets us apart. That and the fact that we're friends on and off stage. We all grew up in and around Northwest Indiana so we’ve shared similar experiences. It makes a huge difference. What are the bands strengths? Its weaknesses? We’re learning to capture the feel of our live show while in the studio. Our live show is definitely our strong suit. Having a crowd of people exchanging energy with you is pretty amazing and you tend to play different in that situation as opposed to being alone in the studio.
