Originally from South Africa, Clinton Cimring joined the U.S. Marine Corps immediately following high school and completed his Recruit Training (also referred to as “Boot Camp”) at MCRD Parris Island, SC .

Little more than four years on and Clinton sustained a service-connected injury. He held the rank of Corporal at the time.

For the majority of his tour, Clinton was a Physical Fitness Instructor at the MCAS Yuma, AZ where he trained numerous squadrons, ensuring that his Marines were fully prepared to meet the challenges of the battlefield by supplying the tools necessary to perform their given tasks with efficiency and the confidence to succeed in the face of adversity.

Clinton has always pushed his teams to their absolute limit, always setting records with each unit in martial arts, physical fitness testing, and resuscitative medicine or first aid for the field.

Beyond the Corps, Clinton is best-known in Southern California for scaring the living daylights out of innocent celebrities and in Florida for the training the 55th Miss World contestants in 2005.

Clinton has worked with some of the top names in the business. Clinton trained with NFL Instructor, Eric McDuffie from the Miami Dolphins and nine-time Trainer of the Year and Mr. USA, John DeFendis . John is also the Director of Exercise for the IFPA (They certified the Olympic Doctors in 1996). He has also worked with the Miami Heat’s Physician’s Assistant , Lance Chaykin; Try Foods International CEO, Harry Rozelle; and World Renowned Nutritionist, Steve Owlswanger.

Clinton has worked for “the” health club in southern California, The Sports Club/LA , as a Personal Trainer and the top health club in South Florida, the Athletic Club Boca Raton , where he was a Master Level Trainer (the second highest skill level any personal or fitness trainer can achieve).

Recently, while Fitness Director for several Gold’s Gym franchisees in South Florida, Clinton grew the Gold’s Gym 40th Anniversary Weight Loss Contest, which is now featured in Gold’s Gym franchisees all over the country as the “ Change Your Body, Change Your Life Contest .” Clinton also went back to pageantry as the judge for the 2007 Miss Florida USA , as featured on Fox and ESPN.

Clinton’s “no nonsense” approach and plain speaking, along with an innate politeness, have made him one of the most popular trainers within the state. He has an astounding knowledge of personal fitness, commands natural military presence, and compliments all of the latter with his distinguished South African charm. Look out for Clinton’s “anti-diet” book entitled, “Not Another Diet,” to be released in early 2008.

Clinton maintains his certifications as a NASM-certified personal trainer (CPT) and NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). “NASM certifications are the most sought after in the industry.” “The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is the world’s leading authority on strength and conditioning. Central to its mission, the NSCA provides a bridge between the scientist in the laboratory and the practitioner in the field.”
