I hate slow drivers, and fake people.Why the name Rich YG?Rich was originally given the name Y.G. - Young Godfather by 2 close friends having a baby in Rubidoux, C.A. He was given the name because he was part Italian, Godfather to the child, and the distinct way he had of running things. 6 months into the pregnancy his friend Candace miscarried, so YG kept the name as a tribute. A few years later, a lot of rappers began calling themselves godfathers and dons and he didn’t want to be the same and he was going to change the name, but his close friend that gave him the name was killed. He decided to go by Y.G. and kept the name as a tribute to his fallen friend Stephen Hoover. Soon after the construction of the Presidential Ryders Empire, he became known as the Young General because of the Army he had created. Then came a lot of imposters and biters calling themselves YG, so he added his first name to it and goes by that name to this day “Rich Y.G.”
