| ******* MORE TRACKS UPLOADED ON: www.styrohead.com ********* Styrohead is the working ongoing project name for Joe G's electronic & electro-acoustic musical improvised sound experiments. These experiments are mostly recorded & taken from long musical improvisations sometimes lasting for up to 2 hours, or whenerver the Tape runs out. As an avid guitar player & sound sculptor, Joe has been experimenting with synthetic sounds & processing for up to 18 years. Joe continues experimenting today both live & in the studio, and also enjoys collaborations with other musicians & does so whenever he can. He has been included in 3 "Ping Ambience" compilations (www.theambientping.com) & has appeared on 2 releases as a colaborator on Eric Hopper's "Sylken" electronic projects. Not to mention live improvisations with musicians like; Wally Jericho, Richard Underhill (Astrogroove, Shuffle Demons), Mach 747 (Perfecto Records UK), Saint Pete, Eric Hopper (Sylken), Phil Ogison, Arnold Sprog (Ambient TV), Pholde, Mike Rockwood, Lyle Crilly, Dreamstate's "Drone Cycle" series, DJ Synapse, & Paul Royes. Joe is currently working as a session guitar player for various music recording projects. Aside from music composition, Joe runs "Nebula Productions" label & "PRO1" recording studio. Joe G will continue making electronic music as well as playing guitar & recording productions. There will be more styrohead CD releases from "Nebula Productions", comming soon mid 2007. Listen to Styrohead on: www.thefalsegods.com which is a weekly 3-hour radio show on CFMU 93.3FM at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Khider July 30, 2001This album is deep space ambient designed to take you on a journey through the cosmos with the engines on permanent warp speed. The recording opens up with "Space Gods," a tense, dark piece with the sparsest of beats, where one can envision an impressive spacecraft right out of a Kelly Freas painting preparing for takeoff. In "Limbotech," the spacecraft has launched and penetrated the atmosphere, catapulting the explorers into deep space with stars and planets flashing by. "Black Hole" is powerful and Teutonic, rumbling your speakers dangerously close to the blow out point and will quake your entire home if your stereo is powerful enough. "Point of Singularity" conveys the angst of being irretrievably lost in deep space by its powerful synth sweeps and darkened drones. "Limbotech pt.2" is a reprise where the permanently catapulting craft assimilates itself into the galaxy, becoming one of the innumerable orbiting comets.
