Ya have to be GREAT, not fairly decent, not merely "damn good", GREAT with a capital "G". 2. The best thing is if you are fairly local, come on down to a Sin City event and see what we're all about, track us down, slip us a CD, and let us know what YOU'RE all about. Sure you CAN contact us by email, or mail us a CD, but it's hard to say when we'd get a chance to listen to it. 3. If you want the gig to pay, YOU should have local following or be willing to put the flyers out there, adverstise the show on whatever outlets you normally use, and get your fans to the show. The reality is that those who do the foot work reap the benefits. No matter how great you are, if you don't bring people in, you're working for free. It's harsh, we know, given our general tendency towards free spirited, "who the hell cares" fun, but "that's show biz". 4. Your music should fall at least remotely within the genres we embrace. |
