Myspace Editor Pimp MySpace Unlike many hardcore bands hailing from Los Angeles the band were born and bred in the 'City of Fallen Angels' and have garnered much attention since the release of their 3-song demo entitled 'Let The Legacy Begin?', which was released in early 2004. In the vein of Downset and Social Justice Countime seek to expunge two-timers and mainstream America with lyrics and music in the realm of their L.A. mentors and use a unique blend of brutal riffs and old-school hardcore growls to get the job done. The band are firmly entrenched in their Mexican roots and are in no way ready to let go of the Hardcore Underground in which they were conceived.The band was started by members of Difference of Opinion,Make Move, and Set Aside it started off as a side project that evolved to what it is today.Being influenced from all different styles of music from hardcore to hip-hop the band has managed to win over many from all kinds of different backgrounds . In 2006 CT released Broken,Blinded.Betrayed on No Joke Records which was very well recieved and gave them the opportunity to tour the Mid-West and the East coast. Just when production for the new record was going to start the 2 brothers Mikey and Erik Urcid would decide they were going to leave the band for personal reasons and would perform their final show at the "Rise with Cali fest". Christian(Chino) Cruz and Chad ex(Hold My Own)would both step up and join the band . Adrian Beltran(ex-Final Goodbye-Beauty till Death) and Eddy Venom (Skare Tactic) would take over as their song writers / guitarist and would give CT the cross-over edge the band was looking for .Playing across the states and in Mexico CT has earned the respect and admiration from their peers and the hardcore scene representing Los Angeles from coast to coast the band does not have any plans on slowing down for anyone or anything....they are currently finishing the their full length album'' IT IS WHAT IT IS"" ....out this summer on No Joke RecordsThe idea that started as therapy for the drama that was going on has paved the way for the music and intense anger that is called Countime!! Playing with memorable bands all over the states CT will always continue to support the underground and never forget that struggling with divorce,jail drug abuse,gang banging, and ghetto knowledge will always be the inspiration for their music that they chose to write about............. Countime does not hold back and will tell it like it is to represent their style of Northeast Los Angeles hardcore.. |
