| What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands". The practitioner places his hands lightly on the body, or just above, usually starting at the head and working down towards the feet. The client is encouraged to relax and often feels a sense of flowing heat, coolness, or tingling. Clients report that they feel more relaxed and balanced after a session, while also feeling a greater sense of energy and well being. The client's "inner healer" or immune system draws the energy into the energy field or aura. This helps to eliminate energetic "blockages" that are often one source of pain. | http://www.feelreiki.com Reiki Session In a Reiki session the client relaxes, fully clothed, on a massage table or seated while the healer holds his hands on or above the client. Reiki is not massage, nor its based on belief or suggestion. A treatment can last half an hour or longer depending on the treatment required. Practitioners use the standard hand positions and commonly a full treatment is given covering all the important organs of the body from the head to the feet. There is no pressure on the body making it ideal for treating all ages and conditions, sometimes hands are even held away from the body. The Reiki hand positions covers and treats all the major chakras. The chakras are both connected to the physical organs in our body and the different layers in the aura. 7 Centers of Energy Chakra is a Sanskrit word and means "wheel". A wheel that spins around its own axis and can spin fast or slowly. A chakra will spin in relation to the energy level of your system. The whole being, including the brain, has one chakra, making a total of 7 major chakras. These chakras are situated at the top of the head, forehead, throat, heart, solar plexus, the navel and at the bottom of the pelvis. I'd like to meet:Reiki People!Tampa Reiki Share The Tampa Reiki Share Group is a gathering of Reiki practitioners and those who want to learn more about Reiki for a combination of social and healing get together. The primary purpose of having a share is for practitioners to participate in giving and receiving Reiki within an atmosphere of friendship and love. A Reiki share consists of many healing hands on one person at a time. One person lays on a table while the participating practitioners gather around that person, laying their hands upon him/her facilitating a massive flow of Reiki energies. Group energies are often very strong and can be more penetrating than individual sessions. When?
