About Me |
|
| Dave Shaffer began playing guitar at the age of seven. Obsessed with
Chuck Berry and that 50's sound, Rock-n-Roll... The three biggest moments of his musical awakening would have to be Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Beatles. And from there it trickles down into many rivers of blues, soul, rock, and even some classical music, that inspires his playing style as well as writing techniques. No teachers and no lessons, Shaffer's talent was unleashed rather than developed. He picked up other instruments along the way, including piano, organ, bass, drums and anything he could get his hands on, but guitar was always first in line. He began playing bars at the age of twelve, discovering his passion for playing live! From the streets of Austin, to a life of solitude in the mountains, Shaffer continues his journey today with his beautiful wife Liza, and two boys Vaun & Miles by his side. He continues to depict his love and life's lessons by translating thought and emotion into melody and meaning. Family, music, and peace rule his world... and he's trying to spread the word.
