Influences: People's different approaches to life really intrigues me, and my own personal complexes I'm faced with in each and every situation good or bad. Relationships I've been in always give me a new perspective and I seem to always get a song out of em so even the bad ones ain't so bad. Analyzing psychology comes natural to me I friggin love it. And no matta what I'm goin through I'm thankful to life for givin me things to write about. Besides that, a few artists who inspire me all in their own wonderful ways are Nikka Costa; I love her fierce funkiness and how she's so feminine in such a powerful way. Not to mention her voice has unbelievable texture and soul. She puts it down. Erykah Badu... she's got a cool ass groove, definite range and stand out vibe. The roots and Tribe Called Quest put the depth into rap that it needs.. especially now days when so many "rappers" I feel are doin the same things in almost identical context and form. It's just nice to have a group that speaks their mind in an diverse way, without having to regurgitate stuff that's exhaustingly already been touched on in the same way... and then only changin the beat a lil bit. But anyways...The way they put a twist on the deliverance of their perspective is unique and on the real they stimulate my mind. Gotta mention Brandy, Stevie Wonder, Floetry, Donna Summer, Lauren Hill, Bjork, Prince, Jill Scott, Madonna... That's just to name a few.
