| Here is a brief history of the band:The band was formed at the end of 1998 in Rome Italy. After one 4-track demo and a series of live gigs, got a contract in 2001 with German label Daredevil; the album was called Morning Star. Toured around a bit and opened gigs for bands such as Entombed and Ufomammut. In 2004 they recorded and produced their second album "Give the Devil His Brew", which due to change in the lineup and personal problems of the band members was not released until 2008. In the meantime, the band takes part in a few compilations (amongst others: "Desert sound the Spaghetti Sessions Vol. 1" or "Electric Magic Vol. 3"), played at the second edition of SHOD Fest. It is possible to download both their records from www.skywise.it. In the meanwhile, the band gets together as a trio and Ennio, former guitar player replaces the drummer. Current lineup Francesco BV, Ennio D, Emiliano G. This leads to a change of style from the more stoner doom influenced numbers of the past to a more mature and obscure atmosphere (see Buried at Sea, Cult of Luna, Earth, Khanate...). "Cold Cold Earth" their third work has just been released.PLEASE READ IMPORTANT! As many of you might have noticed, it is possible to buy directly our cds from our site www.skywise.it. Also reviewers/promoters can require a free password to download our music. After a few emails we think that some things should be made clear:1-Oh we know that you journalists prefer the real cd better but, this cuts down on costs and allows to sell one cd (1 hour worth music) for less than 5 euros.2-Less postal packages going around encumbering your p.o. boxes and airplanes and lorries equals less pollution; and risible as it seems, it's our little contribution to help the Earth save itself...please take a moment to think about it!3-In the near future this will be the only way to purchase and sell music, cds will be collectors isssues. I was there when vynil was around...so take my word for it, better get used to it by now4-We have been asked money by some so-called record companies on more then one occasion to "help co-finance" them if we wanted our cd out. Well we don't see why we should so screw you, you know who you are.I guess this is it! Hope you will understand it and keep supporting us, otherwise please see point 4!Ciao .. | |
