| My name is Therese and I work at Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois. I love creating art in fine arts and theater, revel in my my students and their success ( I adore my students!), try to always learning something new, like finding new friends. I love to learn and to date, have two masters degrees--one in teaching and the other in theatre. and, I am seriously thinking about that PhD--shoot me now!!!!!My best friend is Peggy, who also works at Rend lake College and is supportive of me, no matter what I do, right or wrong. She is an inch shorter than I am! hahahahahahahahaha! but, she is a beautiful strawberry blonde, so it more than makes up for her being a munchkin, dammit!My gregarious, extroverted daughter, Melena, with her great, quirky sense of humor about life and herself, is the love of my life. Her fiance, Phillip (who keeps uping the dowery required to marry Melena)is not too bad either (ok, he is really great!), and I hope she doesn't wait too long before she finally makes him marry her. I also have a "granddog" Gabby who is a round, firm, and fully packed Basset.My students are a driving force in my life, keeping me on my toes mentally and physically! They are talented, intelligent, fun, crazy, wonderful artists and even more wonderful people. This is especially true of the group I have had the privilege to torture the past two years (they know who they are!). Most of them are about to gradute and I find myself lamenting the loss of those with whom I have grown so close.I am spiritual, though not in the traditional sense. A story I tell my students to intoduce myself: I believe in God and His Son, was baptized 3 times because I think the first 2 didn't stick ;-), but sometimes I am the most obnoxious, unchristian like person in the universe (just ask any of my students, present or former!) but, I know this and so does God and He and I talk about this character flaw EVERY night. :-)IM.aspx?friendid=75128079" | |

| I like to read, spend much of my free time updating my classroom lectures, watching movies at home and in the theater, going to cultural events, listening to music, creating art,watching HGTV and Discovery channels. I am getting back into exercsing and love to do Turbo Jam, 'cause that is the closest I come to dancing and doing well at it! I also am starting to ride my bike again now that the weather is getting nice. I am always obliging the students by becoming a moving target for tthem to pratice on. | |
I'd like to meet:Russel Crowe, though I would probably rip his clothes off with my teeth ;-) and frighten him away before he could get to know the real, wonderful me! I would love to be able to travel in time and meet and walk for a while with Jesus. I would also like to be able to go forward in time to see what becomes of my family and the world, in general.
