| Violet was born September 25, 1979 in Douala, Cameroon. At the age of four month, her family moved from Cameroon to Barcelona, Spain ; from Barcelona to Segovia and finally settled in Madrid , where Violeta spent most of her young and teenage years. Growing up, Violet, was involved in dancing and played different sports at school, thanks in part to her parents who introduce the young singer to the many different styles of music. However, she did not realize her full potential until the age of six years old, when she auditioned for a role in her elementary school play of Annie.Thanks to her parents Violet became a child model at the age of four, for high street shop in Spain. From there she started doing advertising for companies like UNICEF.At the age of ten she preformed for the first time on stage, at her school annual talent show. Every one loved her and from then on the teachers and students would ask her to perform every year. This event did spark her interest in becoming a singer and set her on her road to stardom. She began auditioning and performing in Madrid, hoping that someone would sign her and give her first break. But this was interfering with her studies. Her mother decided that she should just concentrate on her studies.She continued performing at school and playing sports.When Violeta was 16, she moved to London with her mother Solange Mbassa and Brother Erick. She finished high school and three years later graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Media Arts. While she was doing her degree her brother introduced her to K-Loe a producer, with him she started what she left of.In 2003 Violet & her brother Erick started auditioning, performing gigs in different clubs in London, Zoo Bar, Escala (Jump off), Oh! Bar, Hackney Central, Opium Club, Xpression, and Rhythm Factory, to gain experience and expose their music to an audience. There music is influenced by people like R Kelly, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Missy Elliott, Arita Franklin, Whitney Houston, Baby Face, and others.She grew up listening to pop, techno, dance, alternative and soul music it was only when she arrived to London that she experienced R n B, Hip Hop and Rap. And a mixture of all of the above is represented in the music and that is what makes Violet original, fresh and innovative. She is a rising star.
