Experienced in different genres that go from merengue, salsa, pop, and rock; this last one being my Forte.I was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico but raised in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico and although my aspirations were guided towards studying medicine, and even thou when asked to choose between art and music, I preferred art. Eventually my true calling aroused by chance while performing in school plays. None of the actors in the plays could sing and when I was asked to sing.well.the rest is history . My singing career started off at a young age, performing in school activities, theater groups and singing the national anthem in baseball games.In 1998 I became one of the principal singers of the prestigious merengue group Las Nenas del Swing, with this group I recorded the hit song Rompe Corazones. Ive also sang backup with many well-known artist like Yolandita Monje, Laura Pausini, Miguel Bose, Pablo Portillo among others.For eight months in 2003 I had the pleasure and honor of singing along side my band on Anda Pal Cara, a daily entertainment show produced by Univision Puerto Rico. I sang Monday thru Friday cover songs from different artists and also had a chance to show my acting abilities participating in comedy sketches.In between all this work you would think I wouldnt have time for anything else. I am proud to say (or write) that my goal of obtaining a bachelors degree in my lifes passion, Popular Music focusing on Vocal Performance, became true in May 2005.I consider myself to be an icon of the Latin woman. My style? Free and natural, simple, sensual, no attachments whatsoever. When on stage, I give my all. I am a blend between sophisticated pop and the traditional elements of the Caribbean rhythms, offering something different for those looking for a refreshing and innovative alternative.
