TRUTH ...first & foremost...AND Music, Music + More MUSIC... MAIN interest at this time is getting my 10 song album finished!! Independent Singer-Writer-Poet-Artist--Bohemian-Clothing-Designer. I am an Award Winning Author of Poetry & Prose ~ As well, I write Fiction & Non-Fiction. I've also written Articles on various subjects. I worked in Law for several years, when my children were younger, and hold several degrees. This paid much moreso than art, writing & music, which enabled me to do more for my children in raising them basically as a single parent! The children are grown now with their own families. I left the corporate rat race several years ago to work in music and art, with the intention of allowing the other side of my brain (the creative part) to 110% take over! It's been absolutely wonderful!!! Several years ago, I began the creation & sales, of my own personal line of clothing & accessories. Which I have recently contemplated the building of a page on myspace.com to showcase some pieces...((alas, to have more hours in the day..)) I am the sole Owner, Designer & Creator of *Mythopoetical Designs* (TM). The word *Mythopoetical* translates to: 'Maker of Myth'...I was inspired to entitle my clothing & accessories line, *Mythopoetical Designs*... from J.R.R. Tolkien's beautiful 'Mythopoeia', which is currently posted, for your reading pleasure, in my Lightening Box on the other side of the page! In my Art Studio, I also work in a few other various forms of Creative Endeavors of Arts + Crafts....which have been put on hold for a while, in order to work with more musical projects. Many of the clothing pieces and accessories that I design are *music related*. For instance, I hand paint legendary figures such as John Lennon, Janis Joplin, Jerry Garcia, Jim Morrison etal, onto festival style clothing and handbags (which I also design), created & designed exclusively by Moi! I've taken many special orders from individuals from ALL OVER THE WORLD, and regret that I've had to turn people's requests down this past year for lack of time. I really feel a bit of a sadness when I have to do that because I am totally honored when someone wants to *wear* a piece of my Artistic Clothing. I have designed numerous pieces of Stage Clothing for various Performers in the styles of Hippie / Bohemian Gypsy / Pirate / Wiccan / Medieval / Renaissance / Heavy Metal / Punk / Emo /LBG, etc. I've also been asked by several owners of Boutiques in the USA, Canada and Europe, for pieces to place in their stock. (I only did a few of those though. That 'time' thing, you know!) And yes, I'll admit it, I also have several oil paintings resting on their easels in wait of completion! I 'will' finish those 8-) I am a HUGE ADVOCATE OF HOME SCHOOLING, and was a homeschooling parent for a few years! I am happy to be able to say that ALL of the children in my extended family are now homeschooled! I have an interest in Adult Illiteracy also, and tutored Adult Illiterates for a while as well. AND LAST, BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST...I have a tremendously deep interest in things that can not be explained,'on' this world and 'outside' of this world. **AVID FAN OF COAST TO COAST AM ** **(George Noory + Art Bell)** I have an intense interest in Quantum Physics (much moreso than Theoretical Physics...Ah but the twain shall meet!) I am absolutely thrilled and interested in 'time-travel', and wish/hope that the questions lurking regarding the foam level in Quantum Physics will eventually be solved, so that the hole can remain open long enough to pass through it to another 'time'...but of course, then there is the question of 'returning' back to the present time! Yes, I am an artist, but am ever so intriqued with these type of scientific things.Black holes, worm holes & string theories intrigue the heck out of me. A lil Country, A lil Bluegrass, a lil Reggae...'n More.....NOT REALLY INTO MODERN DAY RAP!!!! What??? You think that ALL rap is modern day?? If so then I beg to differ! Of course there was a song 'entitled' Rapper, by 'The Jaggerz"...But nooo that wasn't a rap song. Ok kiddies...Have a listen to *Life Is A Rock - But The Radio Rolled Me, by Reunion!!! That would be Norman Dolph--Paul DiFranco--Joey Levine, recorded in 1974. I dare you to try to memorize it you 'modern-day-rappers'...And yes, there 'will' be a test! If I were to choose a FAVORITE rapper, it would definitely be KID ROCK himself! And also *some* of Eminem's stuff. And guess what? Both of them can actually sing! Especially Kid! And also...I don't particulary care for what 'some' call 'Death Metal'...the totally brainless type, where the (alleged) 'singer' is LITERALLY GROWLING, and the instruments sound as though each one is in the hands of a five year old, with no tune, nor rhyme nor reason to it...growling how they love murder and rape and hatred, and all things that are evil, etc etc! UGH! I never accept friendship requests from these types. Some 'death metal' claims, actually sound like music (sort of), but perhaps they are wrongfully categorized because the 'growlers' have pretty much taken over the 'death' category. Oh well...to each his own...but not for me! AND....(this is a biggy)... I DON'T DO SATANIC!!!! SOUNDS LIKE: ME of course, Stevie Nicks, and some have said a 'cross between Stevie Nicks and Janis Joplin'. You tell me! ...As Popeye says: "I yam what I yam 'n dats all dat I yam!" I don't try to BE or even LOOK LIKE anyone else other than ME!!! I've had my own style for many, many years now and don't expect that I'll ever change. Much of my style may be similar to other agin' hippies of my generation, but I was NEVER one to want to copy anyone...never to *follow*. I would always rather *lead*. That's just my nature. I've covered this song several times, by Ozzy, entitled *Dreamer*. I've been thinking very seriously, for the past couple of years, of recording it. I believe that I will. Television:Yes, I do own a few of those talking boxes....(But I don't watch them all at the same time...hehe.) And I do NOT watch network tv...Unless it's an occasional episode of 'Lost'. And the following men, I could not actually call them MY 'personal' heroes, due to some dreadfully unfavorable deeds and characteristics that each had in their personal and emotional lives. But never the less, I do admire and can respect their scientific paths and work! ...Galileo Galilei ...Isaac Newton ...Albert Einstein ...Stephen Hawking I realize that I listed Einstein above in heroes...and although he was a selfish womanizer, I highly respect his work to no end! I find it sad that he felt himself to be a failure! All of these men had/have an inner fortitude for what they believed in and this is how it is with an artist as well. While I don't agree with some of Stephen Hawkings theories, I deeply admire his determination that drives him on, even with his crippling afflictions/disease. Galilei and Einstein were both major, bigtime rebels, especially in their college days, and any ole hippie can appreciate that fact! Einstein called Galilei "The Father of Physics". Does anyone remember when we used to dance the *Funky Chicken*. Hey, I wasn't half bad either!! Once upon a time, I had one of these. Mine was RED! |
