PATRICIA FIELD is a well-respected and award winning film and televison costume stylist and boutique owner who embodies the essence of New York City. Patricia raised the standards for the world of television glamour when she costumed Sex in the City, the most fashionable show in television history. Most recently she has styled television’s Hope and Faith and the feature film The Devil Wears Prada. Patricia has been a fashion stylist for almost twenty years and her impressive list of projects in both television and film include the hit television shows Crime Story, Wiseguy, and Spin City. Film projects include Miami Rhapsody (where she first met Sarah Jessica Parker), The Substitute and Dear Diary. In 1989, she received an Emmy for Outstanding Costumes for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special for Disney’s television feature Mother Goose Rock and Rhyme and in 2002 received a second Emmy for Sex in the City. Her many awards include Stylist of the Year by the CDFA (a new award category created on the principle of Patricia’s work), the Albert Einstein Award for innovation, and Fashion Council’s Accessories Award for making accessories prominent and highly desired on the fashion scene. Patricia is a native New Yorker who began her career when she opened her eponymous Greenwich Village boutique in 1966. For over 30 years, this downtown institution has been an internationally know favorite of the fashion-forward, and has been a defining factor in the urban style of New York’s glittery nightlife. In 1996, she created a new fashion landmark by opening a second boutique in SoHo called Hotel Venus. Now in 2006 she has a new baby at 302 BOWERY. The Boutique has 2 floors of color, fashion, positive energy, and an amazing styling team ready to assist you with your illusions. The store features artwork by De La Vega, Martine, Jojo Americo and many more, and has a full service salon in the lower level with four talented hairstylists!
