Why? PowderRoom is Buddy Akai's answer to dance club nights in San Diego. It has become a way for the members of this San Diego band to spin records and provide a venue for bands and dj's it has met on the road or through mutual friends, to perform in San Diego. The night takes place @ The Beauty Bar San Diego (4746 El Cajon Blvd. San Diego CA), every thursday starting at 9pm. The Beauty Bar consistently has been the ..1 indie dance spot in San Diego since its opening last year. On any given Thursday, you will find a special guest dj (local or touring), a live performance from a band or electronic artist, Rotny (Buddy Akai) playing electro, rock jams and 80's; Memorex (Buddy Akai) playing electro and dance; warm up rock sets by Waly Mayhem and Pills (Buddy Akai). Stay posted to this page, where you will be able to hear some of the talent that the Powder Room will be bringing to town, dates of events, free mp3's. Etc. |
